"You don't take a photograph,
you make it!" - Ansel Adams

Who am I?  Well I wear a few hats actually.....I'm a mom, wife, daughter and also a photographer.

I am a 2002 graduate of Skidmore College and had the unique experience of expanding my photography knowledge in both a wet lab setting and a digital studio setting as the school transitioned from wet lab to digital photography during my 4 years there.  I have over 15+ years of experience in photography and continue to strive daily to learn new techniques and methods to enhance my abilities.

I was fortunate enough to stay home when my two daughters were little, but now that they are older I am able to focus on my photography full time. I specialize in newborn, children and family sessions and offer a home based studio setting year round.

My sessions are typically within a 30 minute time period (with the exception of newborn, maternity, engagement and senior portrait sessions). The sessions are kept short and sweet to avoid losing a child's interest (however, when necessary, they may run long if a child requires additional time to warm up to me or cooperate- I never rush a child/family- we always go at the pace of the child).

When I photograph children (as well as their families) I strive to maintain a relaxed environment, and let the children (and adults) be themselves. I aim to capture the true natural essence and personality of those people and children depicted in my photos, which doesn't always shine through in a traditional studio type of session. Young children are often difficult to pose or remain still, and forcing them to do so often leads to tears, so I'm happier chasing after them, if necessary, and rolling around on the ground, while snapping photographs that capture the joy these children have, with genuine smiles and laughs.

Email me at [email protected] or message me through Facebook to set up your next session today.  I look forward to meeting you and your family soon!
